Laura Plato is President and Chief Operating Officer for Causecast, a SaaS technology provider of employee engagement and corporate philanthropy solutions. In this role, she is responsible for executing the vision, driving revenue, and managing ongoing operations at Causecast. Her day-to-day includes strategy, planning, goal-setting, decision-making, budget, and general management for all functions of the organization. Laura also provides direct personnel management and supervision, infrastructure optimization, cross-functional leadership development, partner management, coaching and mentoring to the team at Causecast. Laura brings over 20 years of leadership experience working with growth-stage technology companies. Having cut her teeth in dot.com’s in Seattle, she is the rare all-rounder, with a strong track record in general management. She has led teams in a wide range of functions including business development, sales and marketing, communications, and human resources. In her most recent corporate role for Intuit, she helped create, lead and globalize of one of the first corporate practice areas dedicated exclusively to employee engagement, and ran their global employee giving and volunteering program. She was also a proud Intuit Innovation Catalyst, helping bring design thinking to bear on critical business problems. Laura is passionate about transforming Business into Betterness, and enjoys putting cutting-edge technology to work for corporate social impact. She is a professional certified Coach and works remotely from Reno, Nevada.
